Claiming travel expenses from SARS

With the filing season from SARS a few days away, a quick insight into the important documents to keep ready for claiming travel expenses from SARS against a travel allowance.
This information and documents are also applicable to business owners wishing to claim their vehicle expenses.
The following documents are crucial to have available before you submit your claim:
- Complete detailed logbook for the full period applicable between March and February.
- Offer to purchase (instalment sale agreement)
- If the vehicle was bought cash, make sure to have the RC1 (registration document), invoice and proof of payment available.
