Every business need to submit a PAIA Manual to the SAHRC in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000.

1. What is the purpose of a PAIA manual?

The purpose is to promote accountability in private and public sectors.

2. Do I need to submit a PAIA manual?

Every business must submit a manual in term of Section 51. 

This includes the following:

- Closed Corporations

- Private companies

- Public companies

- Sole proprietors

- Partnerships

- Trusts

3. What information are needed in the PAIA manual? 

It must contain the following information:

Name and contact details of the officer supplying information.

Records held by the company.
